Year 5 of my boarding house.  The kids are all in love with our newest addition, Baily.  He was finally turning a toddler. Babies were a lot more work then I thought and I couldn't wait until he was walking and talking.  Who knew teenagers were so.... rough? They were still best friends which was great but they fought a lot! I put a stop to the fight so we could all celebrate Baily's birthday.  Gary had his birthday!  He got popularity which was another surprise. He was such a quiet kid I couldn't imagine him having so many friends.  Well my 5th year was a mess. Lots of birthday and fights. I just can't wait for some peace to be in my house again.

4th year in the boarding house starts with another birthday.  Rogie takes his place in front of the cake with the whole family ready to celebrate him into his teen years.  A popularity sim. I knew it by how fast and easy he made friends. I was excited to see him flourish.  With two teenagers life was a little less hectic. They played with the younger ones and helped with homework. It made my life so much easier.  Myron was my next birthday and I couldn't believe I would have 3 teenagers in my house. Where was time going? Another learner. I was surprised about this one as you would be hard press to see Ron-Ron with a book but he did know everything there was to know about sports.  (Myron might be my favorite) "Mom, do you think there might be aliens out there?" "Uhm, well sweetie I don't know" "I think so. I'm going to find them mom." "I believe you." The end of the year came

My third year of the boarding school was hectic. I didn't realize I would be overwhelmed with 4 children like I was.  Rogie and Ron got on great. They quickly became best friends.  Gary was still my shy child and spent a lot of time under my coat tails.  I was always a really good cook but this 3rd year I knew I was a professional. I could probably get a job in a kitchen somewhere. Maybe if I hired someone to help me I would get a job in the kitchen but that dream was far away.   "Mom guess what?" .... The conversation for breakfast was always pleasant and I was so happy this was my life. My dreams of being a chef far behind me.  "Can we watch something other then sports? This is boring." "SHHHHH." "URGGG" The year ended with Tiny's birthday. I couldn't believe she was a teenager.  She grew up beautifully and everyone cheered for her.  Much like I thought she grew up wanting to know ever

Life was going well here at the boarding house. I was meeting a lot of the locals and making friends. They all were very grateful for what I was doing. I didn't have time to chat long as my next child was due here soon.  Rogelio hopped out of the car excited for his new home. He knew most kids didn't like going to the new homes but he always thought it was an adventure.  He met his new mom and gave her a warm hug. This house was the nicest he had never been in for sure.  I did my weekly check ups with the board of children safety. They really liked me and often told me they were so happy I was doing this for the children.  My beautiful kids were getting along just great. I loved to hear their laughter and jokes throughout the house.  Myron was my third child. I had got a call that a child needed a place to stay for a few nights while the childs mother got herself together. I accepted. Little did I know at the time that Myron would be permanent .

My name is Katarina. At 22 years old I left the only life I had known and moved to a crazy town called Rowdesa. It was in the middle of the desert and there wasn't much around. I wanted to start an orphanage/boarding school for the kids in this town that didn't have anywhere else to go.   By 23 I had finally saved up enough money to complete the boarding house as well as adopt my first child. I couldn't be more excited when I called the social worker.  I will never forget the day she came out of the van. My first child and probably my biggest learning experience, Tiny. That was really her name. Everyone said it was because she was and always has been very very small. Her story was sad. Her mother had died 3 years ago due to some bad choices and she had been in a home ever since. Now this was her chance to get back to a normal-ish life.  Tiny walked into my home very cautiously. She had been in many homes in the 3 years of her life but hey always returned h
