Neighborhood Stories - 5

 

*Pleasantview*

With Sally not actively in Strangetown it was up to Ophelia to run SimzTimez, she made trips up to Pleasant once every 3 months to go over budgeting and little things for the paper. She was surprised to see Sally back to her regular shape.

"You gave birth! Already?"

"Oh uh, yeah yeah. I had twins."

"Aren't they a bit early?"

No no, not too much. Only by a few weeks or so."

"Hmm." Ophelia pondered that answer but said nothing further. 

Worried about her earlier conversation with Ophelia, Sally's mind was preoccupied and she started a fire in her kitchen. Thankfully the fire department was able to get it out before damage really took hold. 

*****

The next few months were a blur for Sally. Soon enough she knew she would be moving back to the place she had started to call home. 

She was going to miss her friends and family but it was for the best that she get back to SimzTimez and Strangetown.

*Strangetown*

Ophelia was living the high life, she was mostly in charge of the paper and she really enjoyed her work. New faces were apart of Strangetown and she was having a blast getting to know them and hear their stories. 

Johnny on the other hand was business making the paper instead of helping his wife write it. Since Sally had left he had felt as though a huge part of him was gone. The best way he knew to fill it was to whore around with the many new women who had moved here. Strangetown was finally getting its flowers for being an open community for the strange. 

But Johnny was being sloppy and was soon found out by his wife. Unhappy as she was about the news she acted in haste. She told Johnny he had by the end of the month, which was only a few days away, to move out!

How quickly she regreted that as while tending to her very small garden she found she was pregnant again. Her daughters were nothing but a year and some change old she couldn't believe she was pregnant AGAIN. 

Johnny did his best to spend all his time with his kids as he knew seeing them would be difficult there after. 

By the end of the month he looked around his house and with a sigh left the key on the computer desk. His kids were at daycare and his soon to be ex wife was at work. He headed out with his things.

*Mence*

His new home wasn't bad. It was small and downtown but wasn't bad. 

Now that he didn't live with his ex he would need a job for support not only for himself but also for the kiddos. He sent out his resume to everybody but only heard back from one company; Finest Pest. 

Really.. Finest Pest... Johnny understood he didn't have many skills but he never thought he would be pest control. 

Johnny tried to look on the bright side of every situation though, if he could get the vampires, Opal and Julia to fall for him he would have it made, he knew they had to be rich, they were old as dirt!

They stopped by his first night of moving to Mence with not the best news on their minds. 

They didn't stop by with grand news though.

"So here's the thing.. Messing with you has been a joy but now that you know so much about us the console would never let this continue unless one of two things happen..."

"Okay and what is that?"

"Well, we can turn you into a vampire.. OR a Ghoul." Johnny noted how whatever Opal said those two things. He didn't know what the hell a Ghoul was but he also didn't want to be a vampire. 

"Can't you just make me forget about the two of you?" At this Julia laughed, Johnny did not appreicate  that. 

"We could but whats the fun in that? I know you are low on funds and if we hadn't rented this place out for you, you would've been homeless too."

Julia chimed in; "Not to mention all those babies you are accountable for. Not even 21 with 5 kids I couldn't imagine." 

Johnny didn't know how Julia knew about his 2 kids with another woman or how they knew he was low on funds, he decided not to press his luck anymore and decided to just become a vampire. There was no harm in that was there?

*Vampires as old as Opal and Julia have powers; reading minds, knowing a sims whole life story, walking in the day time, Control of animals, Ability to extend life, Transformation into bats, cats, or butterflies, Strength, Better Senses, Rapid Healing, 

They also have weaknesses: 

Silver can slow a vampire down and dull them almost human like

Stake to the heart - Ashwood

Sunlight

Fire: to really rid yourself of a vampire you must burn them alive

Garlic: Gives them an allergic reaction that stops the blood flow within them.

Having children: After a vampire has lived the life he/she wouldve, they are unable to reproduce children.

These are just some of the things, not every vampire has all these abilities and each is different depending on them or who turned them.
