Against the odds - Week 1.1

 Heems Family -

Sally Heems looked at her small lot on the beach, she was finally going after her dream. She had opened a small fishing port in a rural part of town that she hoped would become a booming city before her lifetime was up.

Sally opens her business selling fish chum to the big time fishers. It didn't pay much but she was hoping soon she could advance and expand.

Sally got to digging hoping she would dig up some buried treasure. She knew it was a long shot but one could dream.

Before she had the chance to find that treasure a couple of fishermen stopped to meet the new port owner.

Sally had spent the majority of her money on building her house and buying the land, she had little left over for anything else. Sally shakes those thoughts away before sliding her lunch into her oven. She was starving and still had much digging to do.

And much digging she did. She dug so long it was night by the time she had filled in all the holes around her home.

Bright and early the next morning she headed off to work. The fishermen liked to get a head start on their day so she thought it would be best if she did the same.

By the end of the day Sally came home with more ideas for her up and coming business. She hadn't dreamed she would be so busy her first day and she quickly sold out. Sally knew she was going to need help and soon if she was going to keep up with demand.

Just like with most nights since she had moved here to start her business, Sally sat down with her favorite books and read.

Long after she had gone to bed did she get a knock on her door from a very angry fishermen. He was apparently very angry at her because she had taken a day off and he was looking forward to her chum. This was the moment she decided she needed help and fast!

The months passed for Sally in a blur of working and watching the ocean. She felt like the perfect idea would be to build an aquarium though that would mean she would need someone to run her chum business and the more she thought about it the better the idea that formed sounded.

Sally rushed inside not paying attention to the late hour and called up that angry Fisherman. She had heard he was close to retiring form the sea anyway. After she rushed through she thought/idea he seemed to be on board. She invited him over to finalize everything.

Christan didn't take too long getting to Sally's home. He didn't live to far, he actually lived on his boat which he said he felt like it was time to sell and become a land walker. They hugged it out and he went on his way to prepare himself.

Sally was pleased with her small town thus far. It had only been a half a year but it was going well.

Christen was finally settled just next door to Sally. After selling his boat and some other things Chris had a bit of money left over and was able to build himself a pretty nice house.

He was enjoying being a landie but he did miss the ocean everyday.

Back over to the Heems household, Sally was doing excellent in her business. She was making more money then ever and had built up a rep for herself.

Sallys' week ended with her going to meet some investors for her new town. She knew if they heard her out they would get on board and that was the most important thing.

With 10k in the bank and a head full of dreams Sally was ready for whatever the town threw at her.
