Rise and Fall - 1.0

 

Year 2019 - The world had gone to shit and gone to shit fast. In the aftermath of that the Government have asked sims to join in the effects of bringing the world back from the brink of nothing. Tyler Ford heard this call and as soon as he was able he joined arms. 

Tyler Ford looked around his new home, or should I say lot. It had been a long day for him but as he ponders over it, he feels it was well worth it. 

Tyler thinks of the fight he got into with his parents not even 9 weeks ago about his decision to join the military. They were not happy with him and that was part of what made the day so long as he left home to follow his dream.

Tyler days were pretty mundane while he waited for the military to call him into service. He cooked, cleaned his pre-fab house, and read books. 

Thankfully before long he called into service. 

In prep for his first day of training Tyler started a workout routine. 

The day before his first day of work a few of the townies stopped by to wish him luck. 

'Thank you!' Tyler said a little to enthusiastically.

'Are you nervous?' The dark haired woman asked. Tyler looked her over a bit getting lost in her cute-ness. He heard a throat clear and realized he was taking too long to answer. 

'A bit.' He finally said after pondering it for a bit.

While the guest made them selves at home Tyler got started on his garden. Apparently it was a requirement when you joined the military, who knew. 

After getting it done Tyler made everyone some baked beans as the rations were still very strict even for the military members.

Finally his first day arrived. He must admit it was very early and he couldn't remember the last time he had to be ready and out the door by 6am but he did his best to put a smile on his face. 

Tyler makes it home just after 1pm and sees he has mail. 

'Bills? Already!' He groans. He hadn't even received his first weeks pay.

But as he is heading into the house he spots a woman walking up to him. She gives him a sly smile and he can't stop himself from greeting her. Tyler Ford, Always the sucker for a pretty smile. 

His life fell back into a boring pattern of work, workout, naps, and gardening. Tyler stops pulling weeds for a bit to look up at the sky and wonder why his life was going like this.

Almost like the heavens opened up and dropped her on his lawn a woman appeared.

'You know, weeding would go quicker if you had some help.' Tyler looks behind him then back up to the sky to thank the heavens for replying to him so quickly.

Tyler and Pamela's relationship took off from there. They spent almost every single day together and soon Tylers daily after work naps were replaced with hanging out his his girlfriend. 

Tyler knew he was quickly falling in love with Pam and often wondered if she was too. But then she did things like come over and make him spaghetti and he knew she must. 

With his personal life improving so much it was really showing in his work life and soon Tyler was promoted. He was so thankful to not be a recruit anymore. He still wasn't seeing any real action but at least he was out in the community. 

'Pam?'

'Wassup Ty?'

'I just want you to know I love you.'

'Oh, well good because I love you!'

Tyler kept a smile on his face for the next week. She loved him too he often thought to himself. 

His life was still much of the same but Pamela made it seem less dull and he would forever be thankful. Tyler thought about popping the question to her soon and she meant so much to him. 

The next day Tyler invites Pam over to ask the big question

'What was the important thing you needed to talk to me about?' Pam asked with a worried look.

'I think it would be better if I just show you.' Tyler could tell Pam was nervous but it was all part of the fun.

Down on one knee he goes and Pam can't believe this. 

'Pamela, will you marry me?'

'IT TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH.' 

A lot of laughing ensued thereafter and the two started planning their wedding day.

The happy couple had a very private affair. Pamelas parents died back in 2020 and Tyler hadn't spoke to his parents since he left to join the military.

After wedding life was bliss for happy couple. Pam did most of the cooking though she was not the best at it especially with rations being as they were. 

In town there wasn't much to do for money or entertainment so Pam took up painting. It didn't make much income for the family as she was a horrible painter but she enjoyed it nonetheless. 

With a new year came a new look for Pam. 

Pam had a soft place in her heart for stray dogs and would often be found playing with them between chores. 

Most days she never finished her chores because she got wrapped up in playing the strays.

The family also found ways to make money by selling time to fish in their pond.

A year of being married and finally a good harvest.

A good harvest also brought a promotion for Tyler. The family was making an okay amount of money and they started discussing having children. 

The trying ensued and the couple enjoyed that the most. 

Within a month Pam found out all that trying paid off and she was pregnant with their first baby!

She couldn't wait to tell all her friends about it and spent the better part of the day doing just that. 

By 4 months she was actually showing and glowing. 

The money they were raking in allowed them to build a greenhouse around their food source as Tyler had just been told the rations were going to become even stricter. 

This didn't put the couple down too much as they still had plenty of rations and with a baby on the way they would receive at least 2 more rations a week. 

As his wife drowned him in kisses Tyler thought about how far his life had come in just 3 years. He had a great career, an amazing wife, as well as a good home. He couldn't wait for him first born to show up. He had big plans!
