Kingdom Come - Year 101b
Noblemen Thakkar
Aurangzeb waits patiently for the adoptees to get to the house. He had gotten that call a few months ago but due to a delay they never showed but today was the day. His daughter wiggles in his arms, that was her way of letting him know she wanted down.
Just as he put his daughter down he sees the first adoptee round the corner.
Alisa Hutchinson - Slave/Servant
Right behind her was a another boy, he looked to be of a bit higher stature.
Sherman Pearce - Merchant
Inside, Pratibha and Karna enjoy a rare day off together. They rarely got those now a days. What with their son and his two daughters living with them. It was a wonder they got any peace.
Sherman, ever the outgoing one, strikes up a conversation with Aurangzeb. Apparently his family use to trade in fur but they got robbed and killed last spring. As sad as this was for him Auran just wanted the boy to shut up.
The last child they were to take in was much more reserved. She was a whore house baby, her family was one of the many that had died during the whore raid. It was a shame but the girl was proving to be helpful. She immedietately went inside and bathed Manjula.
Claudie Blackmore - Whore
With some encouragement from her new family she tries to greet some of the neighbors but was quickly shot down and embarrassed when the Prude spots her.
Anish: I would know you anywhere.. You look exactly like your mother.
Claudie: Uh, yeah Mistress Blackmore was my mother.
Anish: Whores, always the opportunist ones I see.
Claudie: Dude chill out. I didn't ask to be here.
Claudie soon gains the favor of the prude and they are off enjoying water ballons. On the other side of the lawn Aurangzeb was wooing a married woman.
"What the hell do you think you are doing?!"
"Flirting with your wife of course."
With laughter in his eyes, Aurangzeb watched as a marriage fell apart in front of his eyes.
Everything in the house wasn't so bad though, Claudie met a nice girl and they got along pretty well. She remembers her from the whore house but they never spoke much then. Claudie wonders how her new family would feel to know she had whore house daughters around.
Sherman also had guest. A lovely lady he had been courting for some time stopped by.. He wondered if it was still appropriate to court her as it was customary for adoptees to be upped a status whenever they were adopted by nobles.
Little did anyone know, Aurangzeb was still wooing a married lady. He truly had no shame since his wife died.
Someone should probably tell the poor Sherman that the lady he was courting didn't swing his way.. She would make a better friend then anything.
The night, a peaceful one despite everything, ends with everyone settling down with a book before bed. It had been a long year for everyone.
